The following day, the same newspaper reported of the 31 August 1922 broadcast that the broadcast was "heard very plainly" and called it an "extra good program":

Here's something you didn't know in 1920 KDKA in Pittsburg announced hourly election returns of the Harding Cox election and if "you are receiving this broadcast, please contact us by postcard Station KDKA, Westinghouse corporation, Pittsburg PA. Thank you".
